Student Essay Contest on Climate Change Issues

Announcements

National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia under the USAID funded program “Institutionalization of Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in Georgia Regions” announces the Student Essay Contest on the subject: “Climate Change and Georgia”.
The students from any higher education institution are eligible to apply.

Proposed topics include:


• The impact of climate change on Georgian regions;
• Climate change and envirnmental issues;
• Economic aspects of climate change;
• Climate change and biodiversity;
• Public opinion and awareness raising on climate change;
•  Georgia and international treaties on climate change issues.

The contest topics are not limited to the above mentioned issues and the contestants may define the subject of their essays according to their interest.
The jury will select the 10 best essays, the authors of which will participate in the scientific conference on World Environment Day, June 5. Among the 10 best essays the jury will select nominees for first, second and third place.
Requirements for essay formatting:
The essay should consist of no more than 500 words
Heading: shrift Sylfaen 12, Bold
The name of the author (full name and last name) – shrift Sylfaen 10, bold, name of the university, faculty, speciality, shrift Sylfaen 10, italic.
The essays should be submitted no later than 18:00, 20 May to the following e-mail: tbagratia@nala.ge
