Academic Swiss Caucasus Net is a five year program aimed at promoting the social sciences and humanities in the South Caucasus. It is supported by GEBERT RÜF STIFTUNG and is coordinated and operated by the Interfaculty Institute for Central and Eastern Europe (IICEE) at the University of Fribourg.

Program will give an opportunity to the researchers in the social sciences and humanities to obtain short term grants for Fribourg and other Switzerland universities. To PhD students and assistant professors grants offer:

• to participate in a conference in Switzerland
• to participate in an exchange with Swiss scholars and visit  Swiss academic institutions in order to initiate cooperation
• Visits, connected to specific research projects
• Using research infrastructure in Switzerland during the working process (libraries, research centers, publications etc)

Grants will give an opportunity to its holders to widen their academic network, meet colleagues in their filed and expertise. The grants are open to researchers from all institutions of higher education in the fields of the humanities and social sciences.
