Complex Programs in Lawyer Trial Skills

The Caucasus Lawyers School (CLS) will enroll two graduate students of ISU Private (business) Law Program in the Civil and Criminal Law Schools for free of charge. The specialized three month course is designed for them. During the three month studies, the CLS students will be given the opportunity to acquire and deepen their practical skills to become a lawyer equipped with the European-standard competency. 

CLS also offers the discounts for four bachelor and master students of ISU, who have already passed the course of Civil Procedure (550 GEL instead of 749 GEL - 184 GEL monthly). CLS programs are led by outstanding professors, lawyers and judges. CLS program is based on the experience and cases of Georgia and foreign countries.

Accreditation:

CLS has the organizational accreditation given by the Georgian Bar Association.

Internship:

The program implies the internship in the well-known law firms and Tbilisi City Hall "Tbilisians' Lawyer" office.

Infrastructure:

CLS includes the infrastructure, corresponding to the European standards (lecture-rooms, conference hall and library).

The 3 month intensive course costs 749 GEL, which can be paid up to 24 months by using the flexible installment.  Two graduate students of ISU School of Law will attend the program free of charge. The two graduate students of ISU have already been taking part in the first cohort lectures. 

Important:

After successful completion of the programs, students will get 6 credits, recognized as a practical component.

  • Civil Procedure Skills - 32, Shalva Kurdadze, Lawyer, Doctor of Law, Full Professor;
  • Administrative Procedure Skills - 14, Nino Kadagidze, Administrative Chamber Judge of Tbilisi Court of Appeals;
  • Legal Writing (documentation) - 10, Mari Chkonia - (Former Judge at the Court of Appeals), Zurab Chkonia, Assistant Professor, Lawyer;
  • Rhetoric - Court Speech-Making -12, Tsira Barbakadze, Doctor of Philology, Professor;
  • E-Justice - 6, Mamuka Akhvlediani, Chairman of the Tbilisi City Court, Chief of the Justice High School;

Schedule:

The class is 2-3 times a week, starts from 18:00 (except Sundays and holidays), lasts for 2-2.5 hours.
