Ilia State University Research Centre for Semiotics announces open competition on the topic "Photo Stories - Flora and Fauna of Our City". The competition is designed only for ISU students (BA, MA, and PhD).

Terms and conditions:

Participants must be a couple: student-writer and student-photographer.  A photographer should present a photo (with high quality as possible) and a writer should present a fictional work of any genres (poetry, short prose). Maximum length is one A4 page, font - Sylfaen, size - 12.

Participants can choose their partners independently or attend the information meeting where both student-writers and student-photographers will be invited. 

Both visual and verbal works of artistic expression must fix each other organically, should express a single common mind and be consistent. 

You must submit your works by January 20, 2014, 18:00 to the following address: semiotics@iliauni.edu.ge

From January 20 till January 27, a special jury will name the best 20 photo stories which will be published and exhibited at ISU Bookstore "Ligamus" together with the texts. 

ISU walls will be decorated with these photos after the exhibition. 

All authors will get diplomas and the first three places will be awarded the following prizes:

I prize - 1000 GEL
II prize - 700 GEL
III prize - 500 GEL

The prize will be divided equally between writer and photographer.

The awarding ceremony and exhibition will be held in early February at "Ligamus".

The information meeting will take place on December 13, 2013, 15:00, building A, room 101. Student-writers and student-photographers will be invited - join and pick each other up.
