Ilia State University (School of Graduate Studies) announces open enrollment for the certificate courses of statistics and SPSS.

The course is designed for statisticians and sociologists interested in statistical methods of analysis and as well, for all interested persons working in the field of empirical data analysis.

The course underlines a coherent study of statistics and SPSS. The group will include 8-10 members and be focused on explanation of the concrete practical instances. Students will be given a task to prepare some materials around the specific topics.

The following courses are available:

Module I – General Course of SPSS and Statistics

Students having computer skills / experience as well as knowledge in mathematics are able to apply to the course.

Module II – In-depth Course of SPSS and Statistics

Module II can be taken by students who have already got a certificate of Module I or/and they should go though the interview to demonstrate a knowledge of the key topics of Module I.

Students are able to choose either both modules or one of them.

The group trainings will be carried out twice a week, Wednesday (at 19:00) and Saturday (at 15:00).  The duration of the lecture is two hours. The duration of the course is two months.  At the end of the course, students have to pass the test. The courses will be leaded by the high-qualified specialists, having many years of experience in this field.

After the completion of the course, students will be granted with certificates.

Deadline for the submission is January 20, 2012.  The courses will take start on January 25, 2012.
