Visit of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS)
The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) is a charity organization, incorporating more than 45 000 members. The Association of Georgian Biochemists is an associate member of the Federation.
On October 10-12, the members of FEBS Working Group on Integration chaired by Professor Mathias Sprinzl visited Tbilisi. The delegation aimed to get acquainted with the study system in the field of molecular biology/biochemistry, scientific & research directions and to prepare a solid ground for accepting the Association of Georgian Biochemists as a full member of FEBS.
On October 12, Professor Mathias Sprinzl delivered a speech on the subject of FEBS structure and its different programs. The Professor gave particular attention to the active participation of young people (including bachelor level students) in different activities and workshops organized by FEBS. In addition, he talked about the future professional career of students.
