Unique Collection of German Books
On December 14 an exhibition of German books was inaugurated at the Ilia State University.
The books on the exhibit were presented to the Ilia State University by various organisations (German Academic Exchange Service - DAAD, German research Foundation - DFG, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung - KAS, Goethe Institute in Tbilisi, Shota Rustaveli National Science Fund, Embassy of Switzerland to Georgia).
At the same time rarities from the University library collections were also exhibited, as well as books on culture research, philosophy, linguistics, social sciences, etc.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between Ilia State University, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Goethe Institute of Tbilisi for insuring better cooperation in future.
The books that were given to the University by the donors are already listed in the library electronic catalogue and, therefore, available for the University students and any other interested persons.
The exhibition will last during one month at the Ilia State Univesity Library (address: Building F, ground floor, 3/5 kakutsa Cholokashvili st.).
