The Premiere of "The Instinct"

On October 14 the Iliauni Theatre performed a premiere of the renewed version of "the Instinct" (directed by Othar Egadze).

"The Instinct" is a performance created according to the comedy by modern French Playwrights Jean-Jacques Bricaire and Maurice Lasaygue "The Error, or Masculine Singular" (“La Berlue ou le masculine singulier”), which was written in 1984 especially for the TF1 project "At Theatre Tonight". 416 TV performances were staged through this project. "The Error" quickly turned into a hit and moved to the minor stage of the famous Théâtre Marigny. The play has been performed with enormous success to date.

The plot of "the Instinct" is simple and at the same time quite confusing... à la French. Young Louis lives with his father. He does not remember his mother, he was brought up by Mathilde, his mother's best friend. A visit of a strange guest and a cascade of shocking revelations turns Louis' life upside down. Truth and lies, simple and complicated mix up. And the outcome, in the best traditions of the French Boulevard comedy, is impossible to foresee or believe.

The production of "the Instinct" was made possible through the financial support of the Tbilisi Municipality.

"The Instinct" will be on the stage of the Iliauni Theatre on October 23 and 30. However, it will remain in the repertory of the Theatre troughout the entire season.
