The Howard Gospel Choir at ISU
On December 13, 2013, ISU Music Centre hosted the Gospel Choir of Howard University.
Howard University is one of the major educational centers in the United States where only black people study. The Howard Gospel Choir is a well-known team across the States. The Choir has brought up several modern singers. Surely, ISU Music Centre was looking forward to the meeting, especially ISU student gospel choir and its instructor Irine Ebralidze.
The audience gathered in the Bookstore “Ligamus” to attend the Howard Gospel Choir workshop. They discussed the origin and development of the gospel music, performed a short musical performance and answered the questions. The guests were greatly surprised and happy with the ISU Gospel Choir. The Choir performed two compositions and deserved public delight. In response, the guests performed several gospels. At the end, Howard Gospel Choir, ISU Gospel Choir and audience sang the magnificent song „Oh, Happy Day!“ together.
