The International bestseller “the Black Book of Communism-Crimes, Terror, Hunger and Torture” is a French book which describes the history of repressions by Communist States. The book was originally published in 1997, France. The Black Book of Communism has been translated into many languages. Ilia State University Press has published the book in Georgian language within the framework of the program in Soviet and Post-Soviet Research Studies.

Professor Sergo Ratiani attended the presentation and noted: “this is the first book which portrays the crimes of communist regimes in the 20th century. The modern history without studying and rethink will not be transformed into past”.
