The 3rd International Conference
On May 2-4, ISU Art Research Institute organized the 3rd international scientific conference “Art Science, Practice and Management” with support of the Stichting Caucasus Foundation (Netherlands), Ilia State University and Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre.
17 PhD candidates from Georgia, Poland, Ukraine and Sweden took part in the conference. Mr. Brian Singleton, the Samuel Beckett Chair of Drama and Theatre at Trinity College Dublin, was a visiting professor at the conference.
On May 3, Prof. Gigi Tevzadze, Rector of the University, officially opened the scientific conference at Tumanishvili Film Actors Theatre.
On May 4, Ilia State University hosted two lectures on “European Theatre and Modern Performance” and “Memory Landscape: Postcolonial Performance beyond Nationalism” by Brian Singleton.
