


Teach & Learn With Georgia
Ilia State University hosted a presentation of the program “Teach & Learn with Georgia” initiated by the President of Georgia. The Ministry of Education and Science has been implementing the program for a year and a half. The Ministry announces the recruitment of English speakers who will be willing to teach Georgian children the English language in public schools of Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti.
The presentation was leaded by Program Coordinator Anuka Urushadze along with the representatives of the program.
The program is open to all interested holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline as well as students. The candidates are required to have a high level of English language proficiency. The selected candidates will be sent to the schools of the regions. If a volunteer takes part in the program and works at the schools of the regions for a year, they will be given the opportunity to obtain a grant for a master’s degree and to become a professional teacher.
The selected candidates will get 500 GEL in a month. As well, they will be provided with relevant accommodations. After the presentation, the project representatives answered the questions addressed by the audience.
