Self Government Elections
On December 2, 2010 Ilia State University students voted for the Student Self-Governance representatives. According to the Election Commission final document the elections were won by the United Students Movement with the majority of votes.
3325 students out of 7643 participated in the elections. The Election Commission Chair, Mr. Bidzina ZHordania declared that the election process went on smoothly with no major disruptions. There were no appeals about counting of votes or the entire process of the elections.
The 63 member Students Self Governance of the Ilia State University now consists of:
24 representatives from College of Business; 18 representatives from College of Arts and Sciences; 12 from the College of Law, 6 - from the College of Sports and 3 - from the College of Engineering.
