Representatives of San Diego State University, Halil Guven and Asfaw Beyene, as well as the Tertiary Education Project Director at Millennium Challenge Account-Georgia, Nodar Surguladze, held a meeting with the new Rector of Ilia State University, Prof. Nino Doborjginidze. Prospects of future cooperation, as well as the opportunity of awarding double degrees to Ilia State University engineering students, was discussed at the meeting.

The San Diego University representatives awarded the former rector, Prof. Giga Zedania for his outstanding contribution to the construction of technology building and promoting programs in the field of technology.
