“Safe Drive” Presentation at Iliauni
Ilia State University hosted a presentation dedicated to safe drive. The students screened the advertising videos specially prepared for the presentation. The winner group G.L.T. (included Lasha Chachanidze, George Ozbetelashvili, Lasha Tsertsvadze, Tengiz Kurdiani, Tamuna Zurabishvili) was awarded with valuable gifts.
Anthony Piers, Road Safety Expert of Britain and Aksana Romanuxa, Road Safety Projects’ Coordinator attended the meeting. The guests talked about worldwide statistics and discussed the preventive measures due to the experience of their own countries. The students of the ISU College of Business in cooperation with non-governmental organization “Partnership for Safe Drive” prepared the presentation. The mentioned NGO organization was a main initiator of the approved law - “use of safety belts”- in September, 2010. The problematic issues regarding the use of safety belts, driving under the influence, fatal accidents caused by pedestrians’ negligent behavior, annual statistics of traffic disasters and etc. were discussed at the meeting.
