Research Outcomes of Bookshops

Ilia State University hosted a presentation of the research prepared by Iliauni Business Review (IBR). Iliauni Business Review (IBR) studied the huge and network bookshops in Tbilisi: “Biblusi”, “Laterna”, “Ligamus”, “Parnassus” and “Book House”.

The research aimed to analyze the prices fixed by the bookshops operating in the market of Georgia. Accordingly, the research outcomes highlighted the bookshops supplying books to their customers with the lowest price.

The twenty types of books included the cognitive and fictional literatures were studied under the research. The studied books are accessible at all of the bookshops mentioned.  The fixed-prices were defined according to the offered prices over the counter with taking into consideration the circumstance on February 20-29, 2012.

According to the results of the research, the places were distributed as follows: 1st – Ligamus (29.2%) and Laterna (29.2%), 3rd place - “Biblusi” (27.1%).  In the category of the most expensive bookshops, “Parnassus” (12.5%) and “Book House” (2.1%) took the fourth and fifth places.
