


Research of Mobile Operators
From August 10 to 15, "Iliauni Business Review" conducted the research regarding the mobile operators throughout the territory of Tbilisi. The consumer behavior of three mobile operators - "GEOCELL", "BEELINE" and "MAGTI"- was studied under the research.
The research aimed to identify the main motives of becoming a user of these mentioned networks and highlighted the causes of porting to another operator. 360 respondents were interviewed within the research.
According to the research, 49 % of the interviewed people were users of GEOCELL, 20 % - of BEELINE. The research showed that 37% of the respondents became users of the mobile operator due to the low rates.
The 51 % of the respondents refused to change the operator network, but 30 % of the interviewed people were ready to port as a consequence of the low rate offers.
According to the research, the credibility of a company and improvement of its coverage area were considered less interesting by users.
Nevertheless, MAGTI covers the low rates, GEOCELL is deemed as a leader with low rates and accordingly, the majority of users have chosen it. This success of GEOCELL could be reviewed as a result of the effective marketing campaign.
