From June 18 to 23, 2012 Professor Leonard Kisslinger (Carnegie Mellon U., USA) delivered the cycle of public lectures dedicated to “The Evolution of the Universe” at Ilia State University.

The audience was given the opportunity to get acquainted with the basic issues and ideas of cosmology. The professor talked about the structure of the cosmos, motion of the celestial bodies and etc.

The lectures were mainly intended for Bachelor students, but the topics were interesting for MSc and PhD students as well.  The students were given the opportunity to discuss interesting topics with the lecturer and address their questions.
