


Presentation of the Ronald Asmus’s Book
Saturday, August 7, the book store “Ligamus” hosted a presentation of the Georgian version of the famous book by Ronald Asmus “A Little War That Shook the World”. The book, which was positive reviews worldwide, was published by Ilia State University.
The event was attended by the members of the Georgian government, politicians and experts. The book was presented by the Vice-Premier Minister of Georgia Giorgi Baramidze. According to the State Minister of Reintegration Issues Mr. Temur Iakobashvili: “This is a book that shows the world a real picture of what happened in August 2008.”
The work of an American expert, Ron Asmus, is based on real facts and events, states that the war of August 2008 was not only a war against Georgia, but a fight against the West and international policy in general.
Ronald Asmus is an executive director of the Transatlantic Center in Brussels. He also wrote the book “To Open the Door of NATO” and is an expert on the American and European information media. The foreword for the book was written by Stroub Talbot – former deputy state secretary of the United States of America and president of the Brooking Institute. Translation of the book was provided by Ghia Chumburidze, scientific edition by David Darchiashvili. The book“A Little War That Shook the World” by Ronald Asmus can be purchased in “Ligamus” as well as in other book-stores.
