Opening of New Master’s Program at Iliauni
Ilia State University hosted the opening ceremony of a new master’s program of public administration. The two-year program is financed by U. S. Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of G-PAC project. 24 master students are currently studying under the program.
USAID Mission Director Stephen M. Haykin, ISU Rector Gigi Tevzadze and Head of G-PAC Program Fron Naz took part in the opening ceremony.
Master of Public Administration (MPA) is created within the framework of the memorandum signed between Ilia State University and School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. All academic courses, curriculums, practical and theoretical components of the program are developed in cooperation with the high-quality American professors.
The program is focused on the career growth of students. The professional internship is one of the significant components of the studying process. It provides students with opportunities to face current challenges of modern public politics, to get enough working experience with real problems and to become highly competitive employees in the labor market.
