Meteorology Block Presentation
Ilia State University hosted a presentation of the meteorology block of MS Program in Earth Sciences. The program is created within the framework of the project “Development of a new MS program: Climate Change and Sustainable Development with the Emphasis on the Southern Caucasus” financed by U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF). The program pursues the goal to specialize Master level students in the fields of Meteorology &Climatology and Climate Change. The program is the first master’s course in the Caucasus which endeavors to increase knowledge on the issues such as mechanisms and predictions of climate change; reducing the effects of climate change on environment; long-term planning and sustainable development.
The creation of the meteorology block of MS program in Earth Sciences was primarily determined by the core works carried out within the framework of the project. The program presentation was attended by the representatives from CRDF and various universities with staff of the National Agency.
