Memorandum of Collaboration
Ilia State University and “SIDASA” signed a cooperation memorandum.
The signing parties will cooperate on further development and implementation of Ilia State University MA program in Social Work.
The aim of the above-mentioned MA program is to prepare leader social workers who will bring important positive changes in the development of social sphere, support improvement of effective social services for socially unprotected people and also insure social and economic justice through advocacy and political activities.
In the frames of cooperation “SIDA” will support practical teaching and preparation which is foreseen in ISU MA in Social Work. The working meetings on issues connected to developing of the program will be planned and carried out. The responsible bodies for organizing practical trainings will be selected, the agreements for educational plans will be done together with students and student’s assessment form will be discussed. As a result students will have an opportunity to get acquainted with “SIDA”’s work in communities, socially vulnerable families and also with micro, mezzo and macro intervention types of social work which is implemented by the organization in frames of their projects.
“SIDA” is supporting popularization of social and economic rights of the Georgian population through delivering services directly as well as through developing opportunities and connections of groups interested in problem solving.
