


Meeting with the Representative of National TEMPUS Office
Ilia State University hosted the information meeting with the TEMPUS program coordinator. The meeting highlighted the terms and conditions of the Tempus new grant competition. The meeting was headed by Lia Glonti, National Tempus Office Representative, who introduced new rules, conditions and various important topics to the audience and answered the questions as well.
Tempus is a program aims at enhancing cooperation in the field of higher education among EU countries. The program was entered into action in 1990. Since, it has been updated three times. The third time renewed program covers 2007-2013 years. The Tempus program is open to 27 countries of Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North Africa and Middle East. The program supports the development cooperation between institutions operating in EU and partner countries through the establishment of the consortium. This consortium implements “Joint EU Projects” covering 2-3 years.
