Literary Award of the Ilia State University

Ilia State University announces the start of a competition for the best Georgian language novel of 2009-2010. The goal of the event is to support the development of Georgian literature.

The competition was recently announced on October 29 at the Ilia Chavchavadze Museum of Literature.

According to the terms of the competition, novels published in 2009-2010 will be evaluated by the members of the jury based on a common scale with no requirement for collaborative decisions among the judges. The winner will be the novel that has revieced the most points. The participants of the jury is confidential and consists of professors and students of Ilia State University.

Winner will be announced on December 30 at the bookstore “Ligamus”.
