


Khatuna Kalmakhelidze at Iliauni
Khatuna Kalmakhelidze, Minister of Penitentiary, Probation and Legal Assistance in Georgia, met students at Ilia State University. The minister was welcomed and hosted by Mr. Sergo Rationi, Head of ISU Administration and Mr. George Tumanishvili, Dean of the College of Law.
The 10-point Plan aims at creating new jobs, reducing a rate of unemployment and providing economic development. For that reason, the ministry will take care for people after being released from the prison to be educated, employed and integrated into the labor market. For implementing the above-mentioned goals, several education houses have been put in action. They have a possibility to learn some occupations and obtain crucial skills. In addition, she talked about the rehabilitation and employment related activities.
In the near future, the ministry will provide a development of the free-of-charge legal consultation services, accessibility to penitential health care service and its quality progress.
