Jost Gippert’s Anniversary at Iliauni

On March 12, Ilia State University celebrated an anniversary of Pr. Jost Gippert (Frankfurt University).

Jost Gippert actively cooperates with the Center of Linguistic Research of Ilia State University. Jost Gippert in collaboration with Georgian scientists has implemented important projects in Caucasian and Georgian (Kartvelian) studies.

In the 90-ies of the previous year, he chaired a launching of the richest electronic database in Caucasiology and Kartvelian studies (especially old Georgian texts).
