On March 20 of every year, people celebrate the International Day of Francophonie around the world. The whole March traditionally is dedicated to celebrate an establishment of this international organization. 

Ilia State University is a member of AUF (Agence Universitaire De La Francophonie) which celebrated 50-year of its existence. Also, ISU College of Arts and Sciences became member of AFELSH (Association des Facultes ou Etablissements de Lettres est Sciences Humanies).

In accordance with, Ilia State University actively participates in joint contests and activities organized by the Culture Department of the Embassy of France in Georgia.  Therefore, the university is an organizer of important part of the activities and hosts the events.
