ISU Bookstore “Ligamus” hosted a presentation of the book “Information Blockade of Chechnya” authored by Oleg Panfilov, Professor of Ilia State University. The 500-page book was printed with a quite large circulation. 

The book covers the two wars period in Chechnya (1994-2002) and portrays the violation of journalists’ rights, their killing and disappearance. Also, readers will get interesting information about the outcomes of the researches regarding the changes of the public opinion in Russia through these years.

Gigi Tevzadze, Rector of Ilia State University, appreciated the book as a chronology of the documentary materials which describe all facts and occasions in details.
