Iliauni Theare on the Youth Festival

Young actors of the Iliauni Theatre have just returned for the Youth Festival of Theatre and  Film Schools ClASSSFEST, which was held in the Capital of Moldova, Chisinau. They performed a show "Arika do Varika" which is a musical built on the Georgian folk and Popular songs. The show was hosted by the full house of the Ginta Latina Theatre in the centre of Chisinau. The audience was so charmed by the Georgian songs and the performance itself, that they hailed thunderous ovations and sang Georgian and Moldovan songs together with the actors even after the show was over. The representatives of different other festival wished to invite the performance to their countries.

This year the Festival CLASSFEST was held for the second time this year to gather the future actors and directors together for experience sharing, masterclasses. It also aims to bring Theatre and Film schools together for future joint project development.

At the same time, the Festival urges the cultural dialogue between the youth to overcome the differences and geographic borders. Young actors from Moldova, Germany, Slovenia, Romannia, Poland, Russia and the Ukraine participated in the Festival together with their Georgian peers.
