In the frame of MoU between Ilia State University and Medical School of Seoul National University, group of the University Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery and Transplantation team with the leadership of Prof. Koba Shanava is spending one month qualification period at Seoul National University Hospital.

Georgian doctors are acquiring modern approaches of treatment of liver and bile duct pathologies and Transplantation, which covers not only surgical techniques but pre and post-operative management of patients. This experience will be used in clinical work with Georgian patients as well as in the teaching of our medical students.

It has to be noted, that based on bilateral agreement exceptional students and young doctors of our university will regularly visit Seoul National University Hospital for clinical internships in every field of medicine. The project is financially supported by Seoul National University. Team members: surgeons - Levan Koiava and Vakhtang Kerkadze, anesthesia - intensive care - Nikoloz Rtveliashvili, gastroenterologist - Maka Svanidze.
