On May 29 a ceremony was held to hand over the high-tech laboratories assets,located in the technology building, as well as the signing of a revised memorandum of cooperation between San Diego State University (SDSU) and Ilia State University (ISU).

During the ceremony, SDSU-Georgia transferred ownership of high-tech laboratories for civil engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and computer engineering to ISU.

The new memorandum implies cooperation, including the implementation of joint educational programs.

Dr. Nino Doborjginidze, Rector, ISU, Dr. Adela de la Torre, President, SDSU (USA,California), Nodar Papukashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, and Magda Magradze, Chief Executive, Millennium Foundation delivered welcome remarks.
