Granting Ceremony of “Business Cases 2011”

On July 8, Ilia State University hosted a granting ceremony of “Business Cases 2011”. 

The project “Business Cases 2011” initiated by ISU College of Business has already been implemented for the second time at the university. The project was carried out during three months including the period from March to July. The project regarding the intellectual games supports students to enhance professional skills as well as to develop critical thinking. In addition, the project facilitates the participants to implement European style of the business cases, to make a result-oriented decision as well as to familiarize them with up-to-date news occurring in the business sphere.

This year, 54 groups including students from Ilia State University and other universities participated in the project.

“Business Cases 2011” was carried out in three tours.  The first tour was divided into three stages. The winner groups were named at the granting ceremony.

The group in the first place was awarded with transitional cup, special diplomas, books and other gifts.  The groups –“Kolkhi” and “sunflowers” took the second place; “Big Plus” and “Invisible Hand” seized the third place as well. 

The supporter companies of the project such as “Kula” (Vano Goglidze, Director) and “T&D- Trade and Development Group” (Nukri Todradze, Commercial Director) named their favorite groups and gifted “Big Plus” and “Hyperinflation” with prizes. 

British Midland International-bmi appointed Tamaz Makharashvili and George Jvarsheishvili as the owners of two tickets (Tbilisi- London-Tbilisi).

All members of the winner groups were awarded with books by the President of New Economic School-Georgia.  The finalists got prizes from Georgian Water and Power (GWP), Student Self-Government and other partner companies including youth movement “Davitiani” which provides opportunities (capital, inventory and etc) to realize business ideas. 

“Business Cases 2012” will take start in the new academic semester at all accredited universities of Georgia.
