Festive Welcome for the Freshmen
On September 27, 2010 Students’ Self-Government of the Ilia State University c
ongratulated freshmen with start of an academic year. Ten new students who ranked highest based on their entry exam scores were given books and other presents, among them: “Introduction to Modern Thinking” (four volumes), “Academic Writing for Beginners”, “Little War that Shook the World” by Ronald Asmus, a bag and a folder.
Gvantsa Modebadze and Giorgi Noniashvili, who are first year students of the Faculty of Law, addressed the audience and thanked Students’ Self-Government. Freshmen were also greeted by the Deputy Head of the Youth Department of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs Aleko Silagadze and the Head of Youth Service of Tbilisi City Hall Tornike Khutsishvili.
In total 1,474 students were enrolled in the Ilia State University in 2010.
