European Grant for Carrier Development

 

Ilia State University professor Grigol Gogoberidze received Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development (IEF).

This is an individual grant for carrier development with a total budget of 250 000 EURO.

European Union created a joint program for supporting theoretical and applied sciences which funds various transeuropean and/or transnational projects. One of such funding opportunities is Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development, known as one of the most prestigious individual grant.

Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships is awarded every year in all fields of sciences. This year Grigol Gogoberidze, assistant professor of the Ilia State University Institute of Theoretical Physics is amongst the nominees. He now works as a senior researcher in the Leuven University.


Within the framework of Marie Curie Fellowship Grigol Gogoberidze will work on the project "Cascade rates of magnetohydrodynamic turbulence in the solar wind". The project will be carried out in the  Calabria University Plasma Astrophisics Lab during two years.
