Energy Efficiency Center Georgia – Competition

Students of Ilia State University School of Engineering participated with success in the architectural competition, announced by the "Energy Efficiency Center Georgia" within the framework of the project "Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Projects for Georgian Communities" funded by BP Georgia and centre's other partners in the sphere of oil and gas. The winners of the Competition were Sandro Lobzhanidze, Tariel Mikhautidze and Nato Altunashvili. The second prize was awarded to Tamar Terokhova, Tornike Samkharadze and Guram Mamisashvili. The project liked mostly in the social networks was prepared by Giorgi Lapachi, Giorgi Gugushauri, Nika Ksovreli and Giorgi Kipshidze.

Since 2010 "Energy Efficiency Center Georgia" has been celebrating annually the days of sustainable energy, aimed at promoting the development of sustainable economics and energy efficiency and at raising awareness within different groups of society about the potential of energy and energy efficiency for softening global as well as local ecological social and economical problems.

The topic of the Competition this year was "Sustainable Development in Architecture".
