


Cooperation Project with the British Council Georgia
Ilia State University hosted the presentation of the cooperation project of the British Council Georgia and the University.
The study of English language is mandatory for all undergraduate students at the University. From the new academic year, the British Council Georgia will carry out the teaching of English language mandatory courses at Iliauni. The British Council is a leading organization in the field of English language training and British culture popularization in more than hundred countries.
Mr. Douglas Macmillan, Deputy Ambassador of the Great Britain and North Ireland, Mr. Zaza Purtseladze, Director of the British Council in Georgia and Professor Gigi Tevzadze, Rector of the University, attended the meeting. They highlighted the importance of their cooperation and underlined that such cooperation would provide high quality learning with new methods.
The presentation was led by Tamuna Kvachadze, ELT Projects Manager and Ruso Bakhtadze, Exams Manager. The presentation was devoted to the importance of the British Council in the world, its success and positive affects, international exam systems elaborated by the British Council Georgia and assessment criterions.
