Contemporary Methods of Teaching of Foreign Languages
On November 27, Ilia Chavchavadze State University hosted a conference "Contemporary Methods of Teaching of Foreign Languages".
This event which drew together more than 100 teachers, was organized by Ilia Chavchavadze State University in cooperation with Olof Palme International Center. Participants of the conference were greeted by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Georgia Jose Antonio Zorrilla. During the conference participants discussed different topics of special importance: "New tendencies of teacher training and professional development," "Task oriented approach of teaching of foreign language," "Use of IT technologies during teaching of foreign languages" etc.
Professors and doctoral candidates of the Faculty of Education of the Ilia Chavchavadze State University presented the papers along with invited guests. Among the speakers were Sergio Andres Perez (Yerevan State University), Juan Thomas Puiola Fonts (University of Barselona), Isabel Gasco Gavilán, Pauline Bartez and Dominika Malcevska.
This conference was the first joint project of Ilia Chavchavadze State University and Olof Palme International Center. It is planned to continue future cooperation in this realm.
