Conference Transformation of Identity
Today at Ilia State University the fourth international conference in the comparative literature was opened. The event was opened by the director of the Institute of Comparative Literature professor Bela Tsipuria.
The name of the conference is "Transformation of the Identities: Cultural Identities and the Modern Europe". The following topics will be discussed at the sessions: identities and their transformation; Cultural Identities and Politics; The role of the literature/culture in formation of the identity; Modern Europe and European Identity; Modernity and Identity in the Eastern Europe.
The conference is organized by Ilia State University the Institute of Comparative Literature and project "Development of Doctoral Schools in Ukraine and Georgia" financed by the "Tempus" program. Along with Georgian professors, professors from France, Great Britain and Ukraine are participating in the conference. The event will last three days and will end on June 26.
