Conference Transformation of Identities Held
On June 24-26 Ilia State University hosted the 4th International Scientific Conference in Comparative Literature. The topic of the conference was “Transformation of the Identities: Cultural Identities and the Modern Europe”, which was split into several topics and discussed during three days.
The following topics were discussed on the thematic sessions of the conference: Identities and Their Transformation; Cultural Identities and Politics; The Role of Literature/Culture in the Formation of Identity; Modern Europe and European Identity; Modernity and Identity in the Eastern Europe.
The Conference was organized by Ilia State University the Institute of Comparative Literature and the Poject “Development of PhD Schools in the Ukraine and Georgia” financed by the Tempus Program. Along with Georgian scientists, professors from France, the Great Britain and the Ukraine participated in the Conference.
