Cinema Birthday at Ligamus

On December 28, bookstore "Ligamus" hosted a celebration of the world cinema international day. The organizer of the one day festival was ISU Art Research Institute, centre for studying cinema and media communications. 

Centre presented to the audience first films of Lumiere brothers, Georges Méliès's "A trip to the Moon", "The One Man Band", "The Man with the Rubber Head", Max Linder's "Seven Years Bad Luck".

Before screening, doctor of study of art, film critic and professor Nino Mkheidze held a lecture about the birth of the cinema and its first representatives.

It is wonderful news that with the imitative of cinema and media communication research centre the basis for the festival were established. The festival will be held annually and will attract bigger audience.
