“Business Cases 2012 “Awarding

On July 17, Ilia State University hosted the awarding ceremony of the contest “Business Cases 2012”.  The University has been conducting the project “Business Cases”, initiated by ISU Department of Business, for three years. It is an intellectual game aims at developing professional skills and critical thinking of students.

This year, 48 teams took part in the competition. Each group consisted of five members. The contest was divided into three stages and additionally, the first tour was split in three steps.

The business cases designed according to the Georgian and foreign examples by ISU lecturers were discussed at the meeting. The authors of the cases – G. Mikanadze, G. Abashishvili, V. Cherkezishvili, M. Sanikidze, L. Ebralidze -were rewarded with charters. The winner teams were revealed and named as well. (See the attached file).

The team “Invisible Hand” (Ana Mchedlishvili, Mariana Gabunia, Ana Khosiashvili, Keti Ruadze and Ana Egriselashvili) took the first position. They were rewarded with the Cup, special diplomas, books, other gifts from ISU Student Self-Government and one-month internship at TBC Bank.

The team “Sunflowers” (Mariam Zaalishvili, Salome Mchedlishvili, Tamta Fetelava, Liziko Gozalishvili, Gvantsa Kipiani) took the second place. They were rewarded with special diplomas, books and one-month internship at Liberty Bank.

The team “Green” (Nino Chikvaidze, Ana Kvitashvili, Maka Dolidze, Gvantsa Asanidze, Tamuna Zviadauri) and “Groto” (Ana Amirkhanashvili, Ana Gagnidze, Mariam Aptsiauri, Nino Badashvili, Aleksandre Biblaia) took the third position. All members of the groups were rewarded with special diplomas and books.

Mr. Paata Sheshelidze, President of New Economic School-Georgia, handed over books to all members of the winner groups and awarded the first position holders permission to take part in the Bazaleti Summer School. BPI- Georgian Business and Political Insight – rewarded the first position holder group “Invisible Hand” and their favorite team “4+1” (Ana Kunchulia, Nino Kopaliani, Nino Ezugbaia, Konstantine Revia, Maka Lokabidze) as well. 

The Business Cases 2013 will take start from the new academic semester at all accredited universities of Georgia.
