


Autumn School “Russia’s War in Ukraine and Black Sea Regional Dynamics: Actors, Processes and Perspectives”

The Autumn School on “Russia’s War in Ukraine and Black Sea Regional Dynamics: Actors, Processes and Perspectives” organized by Ilia State University (Georgia) in partnership with the South Caucasus office of Konrad Adenauer Foundation took place from 17 to 21 October 2022 in Tbilisi, Georgia.
25 Georgian and Ukrainian students from 10 different universities participated in the Autumn School. In the framework of the school Georgian and foreign speakers together with students discussed the ongoing war through multidisciplinary perspectives (Political Science, International Relations, History etc.) The lectures were dedicated to the historical background, causes, current processes and future prospects of the war in the Black Sea regional perspective.
Besides the theoretical component, project also included practical activities, among them working in groups on policy documents. At the end of the School students presented their projects. Policy documents, developed by school participants will be posted publicly on School blog.
Within the framework of the School students also visited the Parliament of Georgia and Defense Institutional Building School, where they received additional information about the ongoing war in Ukraine in terms of security challenges in Georgia and the Black Sea region.
At the end of the Autumn School, all participants were awarded certificates.
