Austrian Band Concert at Iliauni
Two Austrian bands “The Pond Pirates” and “Renato Unterberg” visited Tbilisi and held a concert at Ilia State University. The concert was organized by Ilia State University Austrian Library.
The concert incorporated three wind and two string instruments and was open to all music lovers.
The students were given a chance to play with band members via their instruments.
The fusion of Rock, Balkan Polka, Jazz, Reggae and energy tune is typical for the music of “The Pond Pirates” and “Renato Unterberg”.
The rock groups have been playing for different elite clubs in Austria and Germany. They have recorded two albums and participated in various music festivals, among them Georgian folk culture festival “Art-Gene”.
The band will stay in Georgia till August 8, 2011. The next week, the rock groups will hold a concert in Telavi and afterwards, they will visit Batumi.
