A New Cooperation Memorandum
On January 17, 2011 the Ilia State University signed a cooperation memorandum with Alliance Group Holding and Eurasia Management House. The overall objective of the program is a support of Entrepreneurship Development in Georgia, as one of the priorities of the Ilia State University.
On basis of the mentioned cooperation with Eurasia Management House, the Ilia State University offers a training program on Entrepreneurship Development which helps youths to obtain knowledge in management, financing and making their own small and medium businesses in agriculture, industry, small business or related different fields. Within the framework of the project, Microfinance Organization “Alliance Group Holding” offers a loan of 700 Lari to each student. In addition, successful candidates will receive a financial support of the mentioned organization to start up their own small and medium businesses. For the students who do not want to have their own small or medium business, the training course gives a chance to deepen their knowledge and to find a job.
Each successful candidate will receive a certificate. During the first year, Ilia State University plans to train a minimum 1000 students in Entrepreneurship Development as a pilot program which finally will be developed into a public institute.
