Promoting Internationalization of HEIs in Eastern Neighbourhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations (PICASA)

“Promoting Internationalization of HEIs in Eastern Neighbourhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations (PICASA) “ aims to promote recognition of Eastern Neighboring Area HE systems- Armenian, Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine - through development and integration of internationalization dimensions into structural and cultural components of HEIs management. The specific objectives of the project are integration of international dimension into the teaching, learning and research functions of HEIs, identification and development of new skills, attitudes and knowledge in students, faculty and staff.

Internationalization Network (I-Net)

The main goal of the project is to integrate European dimension into the teaching, learning and research activities of the universities within EaP region. To this end, 2 major goals are distinguished. The first is the development and introduction of internationalization network covering regional and interregional levels. In the frames of this network, standard forms of information provision will be developed to present research and academic activities of the university. The second objective is to raise the level of institutional capacity building through training of relevant personnel. The training of university staff responsible for internationalization activities will result in development of more professional and modern approaches towards international cooperation of the university.

Paving the way to interregional mobility and ensuring relevance, quality and equity of access (PAWER)

Project wider objective is to foster interregional integration and cooperation developing reliable joint tools for the enhancement of international dimension of the HE systems and the compatibility between the 4 regions and of these with EHEA. Herewith, PAWER aims to support the modernization, accessibility and internationalization of 23 PC Universities from 8 countries belonging to 4 different regions.

Specific objectives of the project are: to share the knowledge of the credit system used in each PC, and to develop common understanding of Learning Outcome and Workload, to share information on if and how the ECTS are applied in the partner countries, to enhance the staff capacity in planning, delivering, and evaluating degree courses, through 1 week training of 111 staff in EU,  to  analyse the grade system in each country and institutions, and provide a concrete comparison in the selected degree courses, to establish follow up actions in cooperation with EU universities by signing bilateral agreements in view of “Credit Mobility” programme calls and inter-institutional cooperation,  to establish and apply appropriate dissemination strategies and tools.

JEMSHI – Joint European Master in Speech-Language and Hearing Innovation

Withing Erasmus Mundus Design Measures Project JEMSHI Ilia State University will develop a Joint European Master in Speech-Language and Hearing Innovation in cooperation with Porto Polytechnic Institute from Portugal and University of Maribor from Slovenia.

The ability to communicate is a fundamental human skill. While the professional competencies of speech-language clinicians and audiologist are defined in BA-level study programs, MA-level advanced studies, contribute significantly to professionalism and subsequently to the well-being of clients. Moreover, global changes in health services paradigms trigger the need for major changes in these professionals’ profile, creating opportunities for development and implementation of new services, products and technologies that may transform the way communities come together. The “European Master in Speech-Language and Hearing Innovation” aims to provide professionals with advanced competences and skills in Professional practices, research, ethics, multiculturality, quality and leadership to contribute with positive impact on healthcare and social inclusion in EU and developing countries.
