Ilia State University student has been selected as an IEEE Entrepreneurship Initiative Ambassador

News

Ilia State University student Lizi Kvirikashvili has been selected from Georgia as the IEEE Entrepreneurship Initiative Ambassador.

Lizi is studying for a master's degree in Energy and Mineral Resources Management and Sustainable Development at Ilia State University. She has completed three Erasmus + exchange programs: twice in Spain (University of the Basque Country and Valladolid University) and in Poland (Warsaw University of Life Sciences), where she is currently pursuing a second semester.

In 2021, through Ilia State University, Lizi joined the IEEE. Then she successfully passed the qualifying stage for the ambassador and now she represents Georgia.

Lizi has many interests. She is very fond of performing works of different genres on the piano, works on handicrafts, and intensively walks for hiking or traveling for meaningful adventures.

IEEE is one of the most influential professional organizations in the field of engineering, computer science, and technology around the world. A wide network of more than 400,000 engineers is an important space for collaboration, sharing of ideas, and changes in the engineering field.

The IEEE Region 8 Entrepreneurship Initiative is an initiative started in 2018 and led by the IEEE Region 8 Young Professionals team aimed at the segment of existing and potential members that habit the Entrepreneurship ecosystem. Region 8 itself covers Europe, Middle East, and Africa. 

Lizi, as the only IEEE Ambassador from Georgia, plans to organize Tech Entrepreneurship activities on behalf of Ilia State University IEEE Student Club.
