CENTER FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION ESTABLISHED AT ILIA STATE UNIVERSITY

Ilia State University Business School and the Non-Governmental Organization called Public and Banks have established the Centre for Financial Education.

Head of the Centre, Giorgi Kepuladze was presented to the representatives of different media outlets by the Dean of the Business School. Giorgi Kadagidze also delivered a lecture on Education and Economic growth for graduates of Economic Media School.

Ilia State University and the NGO will cooperate and apply joint resources to contribute to the advancement of financial education; different joint projects involving trainings, research, discussion meetings and other educational activities have already been planned.

For the purposes of raising the level of financial education, the Centre will collaborate with different interested parties, such as government agencies, NGOs, the private sector, academic circles, international organizations and donors.

The Centre for financial education aims to provide the public with the corresponding information, namely information related to financial operations and risks and by doing so minimize all kinds of risks. Well-informed and educated public will, on its part, contribute to development of a powerful, healthy and effective financial system.
