On June 15, at 19:00 p.m., Elena Shevchenko, a professor at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, will deliver a public lecture on "Russian-Ukrainian relations" at Ilia State University.

The speaker will address the following topics:

• Historical background of Russian-Ukrainian relations;
• Russian-Ukrainian relations after the collapse of the USSR;
• Problematic issues of bilateral relations: borders, status of the Black Sea Fleet, disarmament, natural gas wars, the Golodomor, the Crimean conflict, the Euromaidan, the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine;
• Economic relations and trade; War and the disruption of diplomatic relations.

Attendance at the lecture is free.

The lecture will be held in hybrid format, with the help of platform Zoom.
