MDF Media Literacy Forum 2022

Events

Media Development Foundation (MDF) is hosting its annual Media Literacy Forum as part of UNESCO's 11th Global Media and Information Literacy Week on October 26-27.

The event is conducted in partnership with Ilia State University and with the support of the US Embassy in Georgia.

The event offers the following thematic workshops to young people interested in media and information literacy:

In addition to the thematic workshops, the forum will also traditionally host the MIL games fair, and the participants will get to know MDF's new game - “Cyber Snake”.

A new study by MDF will be presented at the forum, which studies the impact of media literacy and misinformation in Georgia.

Clips prepared within the framework of the media literacy project will be presented at the event, one of which is the winner of the “Most Creative Format” nomination of #GlobalFact9.

The forum will reveal the most media-literate youth of 2022 and the best publications of “Myth Detector” of the year.

The Media Literacy Forum has been held by the Media Development Foundation in Georgia since 2019, within the framework of the project “Media Literacy Youth Lab for Responsible Media Consumption” with the support of the US Embassy.
