Georgian universities and Dresden Technical University have been collaborating since 2020 to develop a lecture course on urban mobility.

In May and June 2022, professors and academic staff at Dresden Technical University, along with lecturers from Georgia, will deliver 14 lectures at Ilia State University, Georgian Technical University and other universities of Georgia.

Lectures are divided into four thematic blocks and focus on mobility safety and behavior, traffic-related environment pollution and mobility planning.

The series of lectures was created to improve university education in sustainable urban mobility. For this purpose, the relevant curricula are being updated in the universities of Georgia and teaching materials accompanying the lectures are being developed, which will provide students and interested parties with subject knowledge.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry, the cooperation is supported by the GIZ regional program "Mobility for Cities".
